Essay Contest
2008

CONTEST DETAILS:

• Call for first-person essays that feature women triumphing over domestic abuse or mental illness.
• Start-End Dates: 
  February 4, 2008 to June 20, 2008.
• $10 Reading Fee
• Prize: $750 cash.
• Winning essay will be published in the
  Fall 2008 issue of Philadelphia Stories.

CONTEST RULES:

• Submissions: First-person essays that feature women triumphing over domestic violence or mental illness
• Length: 3500 words maximum.
• Reading fee: Half of every $10 Reading Fee will be donated to The Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County.
• Applicants must be living in, or originally from, Pennsylvania, Delaware, or New Jersey.
• By submitting an entry, you agree to have it published by Philadelphia Stories ’ website and in print.
